Forks Upgrade?

I have a Saracen Mantra 2016 and so far I'm loving it. At the moment it has Suntour XCM forks with HLO. I was thinking to upgrade my forks to these Rockshox 30 Silver TK Coil with disc mount and crown lockout (650b).

I have to 3 questions. I
Is it worth it for 123 quid?
These forks are 100mm travel and my bike forks currently are 120mm. Will the bike be alright if I change them and what effect will it make?
If this isn't worth it, are there other forks for around 150 which are better?
Thanks

I wouldn't go shorter than the 120mm already on.I don't do smileys.

It's a modest upgrade - a little lighter, smoother and better made, but are pretty hyperactive (bob a lot). £123 is ok, but I'd look for a Suntour Epicon.0

Thanks for the help guys0

Having trouble finding an epicon for less than 200. Any other suggestions?0

Not sure about for a 650b, but I was looking the other day and found a Recon Air for about £150, but that was for a 26er. Might be worth looking at?Daddy, Husband, Designer, Biker, Gamer, Geek

or get plain steerer and an adaptor.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Looking on crc, I think you'll have a lot more choice around the £200 mark.Daddy, Husband, Designer, Biker, Gamer, Geek

Go for a plain steerer. With a QR axle tapered steerers make bugger all difference.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
