Different width winter tyres front/rear

Irreparable puncture on Sunday has led me to dump the GP4000s for GP4Seasons across all bikes.
I want to go 28mm, but even 25mm are tight on the rear of my Dogma, 28s would almost certainly rub at times. Is it safe to run 28 front/25rear (both GP4season?)
Opinions/Experience?
Thanks!

yup .... some bikes even come spec'd with different width tyres. Or at least so I read on bikeradar once
Hell some MTBs even have different sized wheels.
It might handle differently than you are used to, but its winter I doubt you will be riding to the limits anyway, so it wouldn't bother me in the slightest0 -
Totally fine, as long as they fit. All my bikes currently have 23mm front and 25mm rear0

Thanks Gents.

My only worry is jamming the front wheel with the extra crap on the roads if the clearance is too little. Jamming the rear is safer than the front.
Personally I'd not bother with 28mm on the front if you only have 25 on the rear.
2/3 of the weight is on the 25mm on the rear.0 -
