9.0 is an aluminium frame, carbon fork, Rival 22 - £1250
9.4 full carbon, Force CX1 - £1999
Same wheels and similar finishing kit but 1kg weight difference between the two bikes. I was going to remove the front mech and swap the rings for a wide-narrow chainring if I went for the 9.0 which would reduce the weight difference a little. Not sure which to go for, if the full carbon and the Force 1 will be worth the extra £750. I am currently planning to use the bike just for offroad and CX races but I can see a time in the future when I'll be using the one bike for road and possibly commuting as well so thinking it might be worth "buying once" and getting the "right" bike first time.
Thoughts?

Not worth £750. You could buy a pretty nice road bike with the price difference or a commuting/winter bike?0

The multi-purpose requirement is more driven by space than money to be honest.0

The money saved on the alu one means you could get an upgraded set of nice wheels (shaving weight) and then you can just switch wheels around for road or offroad...0
