Spiders

A couple of times recently I've cycled home of a dark evening. As I make my way and occasionally glance downwards I see an ever growing spiders web across my gear/brake cables in front of my lights.
How do the little buggers do it?
You have to admire them, as especially in late summer/early autumn it's a great way to catch the midges that are the bane of my rides.

I also get these.
I assume they're a relative of the spiders that live inside my car wing mirrors and spin a nice, neat web between the end of the mirror and the car door every night.0 -
