Canyon Ultimate CF SLX sizing-help needed

Im about to order a Canyon Ultimate CF SLX 9.0 SL. I have read Canyon's tend to be larger (similar to Pinarello) than other bikes in the same range. Is that true? I was looking to order size Small hoping it would be similar geometry as a 52 bike.
Any info would be appreciate it.
BTW using Canyon Service chat, I was told size Small is similar to 53 and XS is more like 50. Seems like the gap is pretty large between the two.

    I was between sizes so went with the nearest measurements to my old bike(52cm) I went for a 53cm Ultimate SL and it's spot on

    When I bought mine the sizes were 51/53/55/57.Canyon seem to have changed this to XS/S/M/L etc.Seems strange the jump from XS to S has increased?
    Mine is a 53cm/S so I'd naturally assume a XS would be 51cm?
