Wheel size 26 but not sure about internal size but have link https://www.decathlon.co.uk/crossride-m ... 31686.html managed to get them on but only after two inner tubes later0

Looks like 19mm internal rim width to me, which probably means 2.0" wide tyres are roughly the upper limit.
The 1.35 or 2.0 Kojaks would be nice and light for tarmac use.

Landcruisers roll nicely on the road despite their weight and can do light off-road too.

Or in Schwalbe range, you can go to the relatively exotic and more expensive Marathon Mondails or Marathon Supremes.

I suspect your issue with fitting the City Jets is because they have a wire instead of folding bead, like my 29er Marathon Cross tyres I fitted a few weeks back. You need to give your fingers and thumbs a good workout, pinching the section already secured and working round on both sides to the bit you are trying to get over the rim... I was positively shocked when I fitted both Marathon Cross in less than a minute each, without using a tyre lever!================

The CJs hav quite a stiff side all, fitting easily is a knack but once achieved not to bad.
Conti sport contacts in a 1.5" are a good fast rolling and lively feeling tyre.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
Used City Jets for the last couple of Years never had a problem on the old wheels just on these new ones so will definitely be investing in some new tyres Anyone used Crazy Bob? http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-pa ... -26-x-2-350

Yep, got a barely worn pair from use on my old Pylon8. I much preferred using my Landcruisers or Super Motos, the Crazy Bobs are mighty heavy at almost 1Kg each, a bit dead to ride on tarmac but they got me from a to b. Never had a puncture on any of those three models.================

Land Cruisers get a lot of positive feedback from people I know. Though I have seen a lot of Schwalbe City Jets (and others including the Land Crusier) with distorted looking profiles, beads and sidewalls. Might be the way they were stored, but can be harder to seat them evenly.0

Very strange they come off the original wheels easy and what I can remember they were easy to put on I like the jets due to the miles you get out of them so far 4000 miles in just over 12 months problem is if I get a puncture I don't want to be sat at the roadside struggling.0

I use Michelin Country Rock 26 on my commuter/bread and milk run bike, great value, grippy, run upto 60psi no probs sometimes with panniers. Sturdy enough for a bit of light off road if req, fairly hard wearing. And above all they look cool.Caveat - I buy and ride cheap, however, I reserve the right to advise on expensive kit that I have never actually used and possibly never will0
