Hi

Just got a flat as I arrived home on Friday. Saturday morning, I was trying to give form to a brand new schwalbe inner tube before sliding it under the tyre when I discovered that the bugger was also punctured (a larger one with that)

I was happy this happened home and not on the side of the road.

Is this common to have default in brand new inner tubes?

cheers

Never had that happen. What kind of puncture ? Was it fresh out of the box ? Stored OK ? Do you have any children in the house with access to pins perhaps ?
  • I have had that happen once - also with a Schwalbe, FWIW. Brand new, out of the box and the edge of the valve cap had punctured the tube where it was wrapped around the valve stem.
