I've got a Moon XP600 http://moon-sport.com/product-detail.php?id=92 and it's rattling quite a bit in its bracket (I think it may have got worse over time but I'm not sure). It's still very much secured, it's not going to fall out I don't think, but it'd be good to stop it rattling. Any ideas? (without spending any/lots of money) Thanks.

depends on the fitting, if it's slide-in maybe it's due to worn mating surfaces

try a strip of insulating tape to pad it, you can build up layers if needed

Yes it's a slide in and click, with a catch button to press in to unclip.

    Yeah, I'll try that, thanks.

Just a thought. is the light close to the stem?, if so is it rattling against it?. As looking at the mount which seems to be rubberised/plastic difficult to see wherelse a rattle could come from. Seems mount slide in attachment same as my garmin 705 and after 7/8 years it has not worn at all.

No, that's not it unfortunately. It is definitely just a bit loose in the bracket thing.

    This is the bracket:

Top part of the bracket where the light slides onto is also a pivot, so could be the pivot pin that is worn/loose

Just to follow up on this. 47p2, it wasn't the pivot mechanism. Could have been but wasn't. Insulation tape didn't really work very well. Didn't stop it rattling much, came off after only a few uses, etc. Solution: araldite glue. Few blobs on the bracket: here and there and quite a bit on the flat top. Then once dried a bit of scalpelling and filing of glue to allow light to get on. No rattling :)
