also working from home, will be in a T-Shirt when the family finally muck off and I can work near the aga

Later will probably be painting as I've got the start of man-flu and don't fancy ridding or running

Morn, not much sleep last night on account of being up a&e most of it with a friend who decided to use both hands to open a stuck wood burner but only with one glove. 2nd degree burns an crap coffee. Still on the plus side im off tomorrow!

Dull day this end, we emptied the queue of tickets by mid day an theres only so many times I can spin on my chair before it gets boring or I become dizzy.

Morning, back in the office today, very cold and grey out, set to be sunny and cold for the weekend so lots of bikes planned

  • Celebrated being able to sit on a couch with carpet under our feet last night so have a mild red wine induced fuzz.

Need to paint the dining room now and fit some flooring before weekend.

bit of a cold start today but quite nice all the same.

work is ok, meetings getting cancelled left, right and centre which is pleasing.

should have a tail wind home later too, all is good!

Bit of a cold ride in, but didn't notice it too much on account of my busted rib disagreeing with my decision to ride in.

At least it woke me up after getting in late from last nights performance of 'Miss Saigon' that i was forced to attend due to Stropteen being in the Orchestra. Seemed to be very well attended, although I'm sure there was no connection between that and a load of sixth formers having to dress up as Vietnamese bar girls for the performance.

Anyhow, off shortly to buy some painkillers for the ride home...

Carpet tiles her unfortunately, the newer chairs though are far better for scooting about on. Racing is out of the question as im on a customer site so I need to least give the illusion of doing something.

Broken? Since I broke two ribs the April before last I seem to get a stitch whilst exercising in the exact same place even now.

Probably - feels the same as last time I cracked a couple. Not too bad though with a spot of Nurofen max strength.

Davrossing to give it a geeky Dr Who related name.
Broken ribs are a nuisance Stevo, done it 3 times now. Take lots of painkillers and make sure you breathe deeply, shallow breathing makes it worse becasue you'll develop a cough.
More working from home with lots of running around today. Running the bar at the scout troop fireworks this evening. Need to maintain my record of selling all the beer. Got a barrel to get through this time. In the office tomorrow.

    Don't sneeze.!

Been changing the aperture spaces adjacent to the old chimney breast, which is at an angle, This has slowed the Celotexing down a tad but a big improvement from a plain box shape that's too deep cut into the remaining space.

    Burns are horrible.

    Laters.

PS 'Nurofen' ROFL - can't be bad if your'e on Nurofen. BTW - Ibruprofen. Exactly the same as the over priced and over marketed Nurofen but a fraction of the cost.

Ibuprofen IIRC is specifically not recommended in cases of broken bones, since the compound inhibits prostaglandin production, which helps the bone healing process.

I don't take it - burns a hole in my stomach. If he wants to take Ibroprofen and drink beer, let him.
