Suicide is the biggest killer of men under the age of 45. 12 men take their own lives every day in the UK.
I am not in the habit of promoting anyones' cause, however I feel quite strongly about the fundraising for this charity. I have first hand experience of how anxiety and depression can affect someone very dear to you. Mums and Dads are not always aware of what goes on and not always best placed to talk through the issues that can affect their children, especially when they become young adults. So it is very important that there is always someone on hand to help talk things through.
Please take a moment in your precious busy days to check out the charity. I know that we are heading towards Christmas and money becomes tight and spoken for towards the festive season. But if you able to then perhaps you can donate to the just giving page of Wyatt Wendell a DJ from Planet Rock. He will undertake the mammoth cycle ride of 1100 miles in 7 days to raise funds for CALM. Starting on the 25th November. London to Porthcawl, via Nottingham, Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham and onto Porthcawl. Quite a ride, given the time of year too.
