    Just the once a year?

If you cycle to work you won't be walking that much.

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

  • Recommend Loakes as well, a little more than normal high street shoes, but quality is good and they last well.
Same pair for the last 4 years, apart from a new heel, are in excellent condition.

There is a shop called Xen in London that has a good range and very competitive prices.

Should go in the bargains thread but my daughter works in a charity shop and I went in to annoy her on Saturday and walked out with a pair of Church's Balmoral in brown for a tenner - I think they for about £300. Not a mark on them

Also, got a pair Church's black brogues on eBay for about £20 just before Xmas

I'm 46 so that'll see me through to retirement

I bought a pair of black Barker Oxfords at the same time as a brown pair of Loake Brogues. Despite being put in shoe trees after each wear, the Barker's are pretty much immaculate, with the Loake's showing signs of wear. Would definitely spend more in future for Barker's, Church's etc.

Took the words out of my mouth. I own a pair of black oxfords by both... Loake make a good shoe, but Barker have them pegged on quality.
