Hi,

I will be visiting Glasgow next weekend and I would love to visit some good bike shops in the city, especially with a good selections of clothing. There are of course shops indicated on the Endura website, and these are rather no-brainers to visit while in Scotland ;) but can anyone recommend any others? I am currently looking for some winter gloves and would love to try on some new stuff.

  • I can recommend Billy Bilsland Cycles.

I went to Glasgow a couple of years ago and spotted this shop from the city tour bus. Its name seemed familiar and when I visited the following day I realised why- they had a Peugeot belonging to Robert Millar in the window, and I had read about the shop in a biography of Milllar.

I bought some winter tights there and they seemed to have a good stock of clothing. They are in Saltmarket, not far from the People's Palace (also well worth visiting).

and my personal fave (but I'm a trekkie): http://www.tiso.com/alpine

if you just want to browse lots of clothing racks then there is the usual Evan, Dales etc.

If you want a proper LBS who are knowledgable, helpful and willing to give the customer some time then I would second Billy Bilsland.
