Tubeless - is this normal?

Hi all,
Need some advice on a tubeless problem. Have just set my tyres on the rims and pumped up to seat and let them sit overnight before adding sealant tomorrow.
One looks fine. The other though seems to be leaking through the side of the rim. There's a leak under the WTB sticker on the side of the rim. That cant be right can it?
Will adding sealant solve it or would it just be a waste?
Any help appreciated

So you haven't added in any sealant? If not that's your issue. The sealant is there to fill in those gaps and seal when you get a puncture. Quite impressed that one tyre has stayed up with no sealant, show that it's seated tightly.
Add your sealant pump it up, spin the tyre a few times and job done.0 -
Thanks for input. Knew it wouldnt stay up without sealant but didnt expect it to be coming through the seam of the rim!Bossnut - http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=13069531

Try the sealant and it should seal everything up, just give the wheel a good few turns and make sure the sealant has been swirled around. Also use more than advised on the bottle0 -
Thats it. Nothing from the bead. It looks like a leak from the seam of the rim, used washing up liquid and water as leak detection spray and the bubbles are around the sticker not th tyre itselfBossnut - http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=13069531

Double wall rims have a hole to let water out. Any leakage from the spoke holes will come out the side of the rim. So probably the rim bed isn't perfectly sealed. Sluish the sealant around and it might seal up ok.I don't do smileys.

The rim tap must cover the whole width of the rim. Tape this way and there will be no leaks.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0

Just done the sealant for the front wheel. Seems ok so far!
Just need to think about what to do with the rear. Might have to have a trip to somewhere open today... maybe Evans?...Bossnut - http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=13069531

Just put a short bit of rim tape sideways across the rim join.
Make it go edge to edge.
If your wheel has aluminium nipples and you let sealant seep in there it will corrode the nipples and they will simply break without warning very prematurely.0 -
Seems like the rear is now holding air with the sealant added which is a result!
Now having issues getting the alignment right. Rear brake rubbing and lost bottom gear on the cassetteBossnut - http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=13069531
