DHB Aeron tights, Windslam or Deep Winter?

Getting some new tights for when it gets down below 5°c, current DHB ones are worn out and reduced to commuting duties (and were fairly basic, no windproofing etc.). Club ones are Sportful bodyfit which aren't that thick either. Not planning on being out much when it's much below 0°C, no studded tyres and had enough of icy crashes! That in mind, is the extra tenner for deep winter model worth anything?

  • Yes and no. Each of the windproof ones are better. Better for cold, better for rain etc.

But, they're less flexible and getting the fit spot on is much more difficult than on the normal Aeron, (which are pretty warm anyway).

Buy one of each size, try them on, see if you can get a good fit, return the others.

That goes for most windstopper tights.
