I posted on Thursday over my recent acquisition- a Gazelle Champion Mondial from 1979.
Although its been read there has been no response, perhaps I posted in the wrong section -workshop.
Since Hennie Kuiper became World Champion on a similar bike I think it is an interesting project, but then I'm based in The Netherlands.
Since Peter Post and Rik Van Looy are dead and I cant get Hennie Kuiper or Jan Raas on the phone I thought I would ask the forum for advice but to no avail.
The post is still up on the workshop section as it concerns technical questions.
Even as a veteran there is still a lot to learn about it seems forums and blogs for example.

At least somebody is paying attention.
My sincere apologies to Rik van Looy and family. He is 82.
You just can't trust the internet.
If I'm not misinformed the last sponsorship for Gazelle was the ill-fated TVM team with Jeroen Blijlevens [sprinter] and Sevais Knaven [ Sky } in the Tour de France 1998.
I don't think the problem was that they were still riding a Champion Mondial.0 -
