Hi
With winter on it's way I thought I'd make my bike a bit safer and buy some Continental 4 season 28mm tires for my CAAD12.
Anyone tried to fit 28mm to their CAAD12? Is there enough clearance?
Thanks

The caad 12 is not an inherently dangerous bike, so I can't see why fitting 28s would improve safety. Probably wouldn't fit anyway.0

25mm tires JUST about fit on the CAAD10. Occasionally grit can get stuck in between the calliper and the tyre at the back, had it jam the wheel.
I've stopped using 'big' 25c tyres like Michelin Pro 4s, I wouldn't try 28s.0 -
Don't fit. I asked my LBS about this and 25mm is the max tyre fit for the CAAD12 rim frame. For this reason I bought the disc version.0

Yeah I asked at my lbs yesterday and he said they might just fit but he also adviced against it so I'll just go with some 25mm 4 seasons. Thanks0

I just put 28mm Gatorskins on a friend's CAAD12 and went for a ride this morning, they fit great.0

Of course 28s will fit in a CAADX frame (which is designed to take 32-35s). But this thread is about the CAAD12.0 -

Sorry.....my bad....i meant CAAD12 not CAADX ....and yes the 28s fit with plenty of clearance on the CAAD12 (I have 35s on my CAADX)0 -
28mm tyres fit on my 2016 Caad12 with Ultegra 6800 brake calipers.0
