Short Cage/Medium Cage - Chain Length

Hopefully a pretty straightforward answer:

I've mistakenly ordered a medium cage rear mech instead of a short cage - will I need to adjust chain length?

It's fine as I run 11-28 and I need to replace chain anyway.

    No need to change chain length, no.
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
