On the 482SB rear hub, but presumably my Q is reasonably universal which is "how tight is too too tight" when doing up the bolts on the end caps?

On a scale of "just about nearly nipped up" to "blue in the face it's so tight" where should we be?

Thanks!

A little more than nipped up, but not much more, they preload the bearings against each other so too much will shorten the bearing life.

Cheers, think I'd done them up too tight without thinking. Was wondering why pedalling was feeling so difficult and couldn't imagine this would make that much difference but I think it has.
