Tea first, then prep my bike for tomorrow cat and fiddle ride with 30+ mile winds and rain - great :(

Then off to meet the wife's family which will be a day of hell as the poor little lambs haven't been left as much inheritance as they expected

As usual they will all try and avoid paying the bill

Later will be the pub - I will need it

It was indeed a lovely day. Only downside is the unseasonably cool evenings we've had this year for spring mean the pool has yet to reach an acceptable temperature. Soon though, tomorrow forecast is... 30 C and sunny (again). 8)

More house jobs done today. Moved the bikes out to give them some fresh air and Vitamin D. Cleaned out boxes of leftover cable outers, most of which is now binned. Why do I keep this stuff again?

Prepped some timbers for another of the jobs on "the list". Inevitably, while I have an entire filing cabinet full of boxes of screws and fasteners, I don't have anything suitable for this particular job. Back to the hardware shop tomorrow then.

    BBQ in action this evening.

A few jobs and supplies to get. Then lunch in town as wifey is out and I CBA to cook. Then a bit of bike washing and fettling well in advance of the next gravity session. And a bit of footy in the background. That's about it for now.

Traditional slow start was had, very nice. Went for a flu jab and was told I should also have one for pneumonia. Deep joy, I got stabbed in both arms. Bit of pottering to be done then out to a 50th birthday bash tonight.
Another day in the life of an old fart.

I think you need to more realistic, say Susan Boyle?

V quick ride this morning whilst the mrs was still in bed. Then went to look at bikes with step son, alas he has his heart set on a mountain bike, got him to try a cross bike but he wasn't having any of it. Coffee and a trip to decathlon and now there's roast stew in the pot with a bottle of Rioja and a crap film on record.

The sales guy at Evans even told him he should go for the cross bike but he wasn't having a bit of it.

Why would anyone trust a sales guy at Evans.

Give the guy his due, he actually knew what he was talking about, he looked like he may actually own a bike too.

When Article 50 is activated, you can capitalise on the wave of migrants leaving these shores to weed the plantation.

You're assuming they have got him up and dressed him already.
