New mountain bike park

Dirt world MTB park
edited October 2016 in MTB general
Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum so please forgive me if I make any errors!

My business partner and I have a planning application under consideration with East northants planning authority. The application is for an outdoor sports activity park. A large part of the application is for many types of off road cycling. We have applied to build a dirt jump arena, pump track, 4x track, dual slalom track and general cross country riding. The site is a 44 acre disused sand quarry and is perfect for all those types of cycling.

What we need is support we need to show the planning authority that people want and would use this type of site. You can register your support on the council website and also view the whole application this includes

Site drawings, photos etc and loads more detail. We are not a big faceless company we are 2 guys who have spent thousands of hours and pounds over the last 5 years putting the application together.
Please please take 5 mins to log on and support us. It does not matter where you live you can still support.
The link to the application is below

Please we need your help.
If you would like more information please contact me
Best regards
Tom

Just for clarification - does this proposal include a motorcross track(s) too?

    Looks like 90% motorcycles/4x4.

  • Hi yes the site will also be used for motorcycles but far more of the site is dedicated to MTB. For cross country events pretty much the whole 44acre site would be used. We run different events on different days. There is a very big focus on MTB
  • The 4x, dual slalom, pump track and jumps are fixed purpose built courses

The site drawing is quite deceptive. It really is huge lots of elevation changes different types of terrain. There really is a big emphasis on MTB's both myself and partner are keen MTB riders.

Good luck with this project. A new park is most welcome.

  • Thank you Angus. Would you be able to show your support on the council website please? If we don't get support the council will most likely turn it down as they simply say no matter how good your application is nobody wants it.
