Loose rear axle?

So, new bike is around 3 months old and I've noticed a slight but definate loose knocking when i rock the rear wheel. It's held with a Formula XQR 12e axle and whether I tighten it well or leave it slightly looser its the same. Sound more like the axle thread or maybe the hub bearings? Didn't have any play previously. Appreciate it may be impossible to tell exactly what it is.

    Take it back to the shop as it's only 3 months old it will be under warranty
