Advice on freehub body

I'm looking to change the wheelset on my Specialized Sirrus, which came with an Alex S500 set. Got the opportunity to get a set of Fulcrum Racing 5's for less than £70 (which are in good nick), but they have been set up with a Shimano 11 speed freehub body and my bike is Sora 8 speed. Can I just change the freehub body to a Shimano 8 speed (such as Claris) or is there something else I'm missing/should know about before I purchase the Fulcrums?

    If it has been used with 11 speed Shimano you should be able to just use a 1.85mm spacer on the freehub for 8 speed as far as I am aware. If it's been used with Campag 11 speed then yes you would need a shimano pattern freehub.
