Are these any good? Don't really want a full set of panniers on, I only have to carry lunch/spare inner tubes and a multi tool on my commute. Getting fed up with my courier bag sliding off my shoulder, like to do a long ride on a weekend when I just use an under saddlebag so the seatpost mounted would be quicker to remove.

They work fine as long as you keep the weight in it sensible and whatever bag you use doesn't need side support to stop it swinging into the wheel.

Also I wouldn't use one in a thin walled seatpost (or carbon) due to the risk of crushing.
