Hi
Further to previous posts and advice I had my sights firmly set on a voodoo bizango / boardmans / decathlon rock riders. However, cycle to work scheme and discount is looking very difficult to ignore, but they are doing Evans only
Therefore, choice more limited, but I guess I could squeeze budget up given the savings. At similar prices to the above I found these which may not be as high spec as the Halfords stuff, but seem okay for what I need (first foray into MTB incl doing South Downs way later this year).

https://www.evanscycles.com/norco-charg ... e-EV243544
Do either of the above come with any health warning issues to knowabout?!
Thanks

Dont forget you can join British cycling and use topcashback to get a discount at Halfords that won't be far of matching the C2W saving when you allow for final payment (depending on your tax band).
Of those two the Spesh has the better forks and would be my choice (excepting I wouldn't have a 29er in the first place but that's a very Marmite decision).Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
