Kanye West cut short a concert at the weekend, leaving the stage suddenly when he heard of his wife being robbed in Paris. He told fans that it was a "family emergency".

Kim Kardasian's apartment was raided by five men dressed as policemen, she was locked in the bathroom and the thieves stole jewellery worth millions. She is said to be very shaken by the ordeal.

"It was a trauma, and I lost a fortune. I'm just glad it was over so quickly" said a concert goer.

Just googled her. It's not just her wealth she flashes around.

    What does she do anyway?

Kanye has his music, a talent I guess, but what does that Kim lass do? What talent?

Her dad is an attorney who supposedly disposed of OJ Simpson's murder weapon/bloody clothes. Nice family

Anyone who manages a bit of a tune with a comb and paper has more talent that kanye west.

Well he's made enough out of it which is a talent of sorts.

I guess you're not his target audience judging buy your reply. Not sure I am, there's a whole host of hip hop / rap talent I rate a lot higher too. Prefer UK grime over US stuff myself just not a music buying type these days. Buying music it's more likely to be classic punk or blues than urban music styles.

So Kim is a lawyer's daughter? No talent at all then?!

If you google her name more in depth you'll see her talents have also been documented on video and are accessible on certain websites :lol: all of which I do not frequent at all, your honour.

Fair cop! In my defence, your honour, my phone spellchecker has been playing up of late.

I use swype to type posts, on my phone, which supposedly uses algorithms to work out most likely words based on motion of finger or thumb across the screen. It was once very accurate but the past year it changed. Started putting in the word "buy" instead of "by". That's very easy to miss. You should have seen some of the dodgy spellchecker results I've caught and dealt with!

It's most annoying when certain, commonly used words just don't get recognised. Any word with "some" in it either comes out totally different or it suggests all the other words with that in except the one closest to what you've intended and Swyped.

As far as grammar goes...well I'm the product of a northern grammar school. I'm not sure they even taught it! Was kind of expected that you knew grammar by the time you got there. My primary school was not very good. So my mistakes are possibly obvious ones, just not to me.

Wasn't a dig at you, more his usual fan base. Autocorrect is an evil thing. Children these days don't know the pain we went through for years hitting seven four times to get an S. Or Ceefax.

    Oh, man!

Without getting all "four Yorkshiremen" about it.....

When I started school, we had slates and chalk as our first writing implements. I went around some sort of museum a while ago which had a school room set up, and on the desks were little slates (about the size of A4) in wooden frames. People were laughing at these, I did too until I suddenly remembered that I'd used one! I remember vividly trying to write the numbers 1-100 and not having room because I couldn't manoeuver a piece of chalk well enough. I'll bet the little buggers get tablets each now.

Less if he uses the right fence.

It is a bit! an yeah it was a bit grim when we were nippers I remember having extra lessons because my handwriting was tosh, still is so they worked well, special pens with triangular things, copy the TV with the pen that had a light on it after school.
Your right though on the tablets they all have them the mind boggles whats wrong with paper!

An yes I thought he was in debt till someone in the office promptly corrected me telling me infact he is very rich from all his "businesses" bar a couple of endorsements I cannot thing of anything myself.
  • We got a few white boards halfway through secondary school. Hated them! You got ink on your hands instead of chalk that easily rubbed off. Plus I started to.get migraines then too, reflected light was.a major trigger. Never an issue with blackboards but I was getting attacks more than once a week in early spring when the light was bad due to low sun.

The old days, eh! Kids nowadays wouldn't survive without needing counselling. What teachers got away with then would result in prison sentences now. That's not even talking about corporal punishment. Mind you living on the streets you'd think yourself lucky if to got a handful of gravel once a week....

Sorry but 4 Yorkshiremen is a classic sketch as seminal in comedy as the class one with the little Ronnie, John Cleese and the other one. Often repeated never bettered! And yes me and my mates once had that Yorkshiremen conversation. Started normally but soon degenerated into parody of that sketch, not very good but considering we weren't comics and it happened naturally it was funny at the time. PS that was from a group who often snuck obscure comedy references and especially Monty python phrases into conversations where they could be fitted naturally (with a straight face and normal tone).

she has a talent for making more money than I ever have. Whatever you think of her nothing can justify armed robbery. That is crime and if we try to justify it then that means we are no better than the thieves.

Who in their right mind actually owns a £4 million ring let alone takes it and £6 million of other jewellery on holiday with them? Wouldn't be surprised if it was a combination of an insurance job and some Kardashian style self-promotion.

My initial thoughts too. She's not had an excuse to be in the press recently. (As far as I have noticed). Wonder if there'll be a follow up story of the insurance pay out, or investigation.

    Who?

I wondered that too. My OP was a dig at the sh1t she's married too, not her. And although I think she is also rubbish, I don't condone her being robbed.

Maybe but fairly justified with the family's track record of doing anything for publicity. Cynical pretty much sums them up too.

    Nail on the head.
I don't give a flying fish about her or her partner but this cannot be condoned.
