Well the season is almost over and it seems like a good time to reflect on the quality of your "my man" shouts over the past year.
Please use the UCI World Road Ranking list to allocate points to your team and post here.

The winner shall receive a pint from me at some unspecified time in the future.
for example
Team Kleinstroker
Total = 12768 points

I imagine I'll be pretty much last as I have no big names. Unless of course Miguel Angel Lopez Moreno can be considered a big name.0

My Man Team is the best. Because it just is.It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0
-
Maybe put the change in points.
Rider A "2016 points" - "2015 points" = score.
See if they've delivered?
Or not?0 -
My team scored 53,978 points0
-
11,127, largely due to Sagan.
Definitely making some subs next year - struggling to remember why I picked a couple of them0 -
It's not the winning, it's the panache that counts.0

I didn't participate, so I'm just going to make it up and say 80,000 points. I win, but I may need a TUE to do so.Follow me on Twitter - http://twitter.com/scalesjason - All posts are strictly my personal view.0

if you are doing points you have missed the point
its not fantasy bluddy cycling
its MY Man - giving a shout based on a mix of criteria - they may not get a WT point all year but show FLAIR0 -

Come on! Its not all about panache. Sometimes it's about just doing your job well, not looking for the limelight and being part of a team.
To be honest i get abit fed up with all the panache talk. My appreciation of doms has gone up this year and even more so for riders doing a full season and racking up the points. Not something I normally considered.
Anyway it's just for fun to see how the squads panned out over the year0 -
G - 1001
Valverde - 2741
Stannard - 624
Porte - 1863 (That was a surprise)
Craddock - 293
Chaves - 1669
Ten Dam - NAFC
Kiryienka - NAFC
Dombrowski - 128
Geshke - 195
Can't see Ten Dam or Kiri on that list anywhere, I've been through it about a dozen times.
Surprised Porte got as many points as he did but he did have some good early season results so they must add up.
I've not confirmed MM2017 yet but I think Geshke, Ten Dam, Chaves, Valverde and Craddock are likely to be cut, G might make the grade if he does a classic/tour combo again rather than Paris-Nice etc, Swift is almost certainly promoted in and Phinney might get called up if he keeps the tache but I reserve the right to drop him when that goes. Probably keep Stannard but I want Rowe as well and don't want to be too Sky heavy...0 -
Cav 1087
Swifty 687
Tomekke 1091
Valv 2741
Eddy Bos 1230
Spartacus 1899
Stybar 836
Nibbles 1518.75
G 1001
So that's 12090.75 in total. Does anyone know why Nibali has got .75 of a point?0 -

Surprised Cav only got 1087 points. The points system really isn't analagous to panache or even winningness* is it?
*winningness - it's a real word!0 -
Please don't tell me I've got to buy myself a pint of beer!0
-
Well Chaves is doing his best to give me extra points0

Yeah... but the point wasn't to pick a squad that would score loadsa points but a group of riders that you were a fan of... enjoy your beer.0 -
I don't think anyone picked a squad with that in mind. The only reason for the thread was the thread on relegation and the importance of rider points,so I thought it might be fun to see how things panned out regarding our own picks.
I had no idea you were all so f8cking precious about it.0 -
Degenkolb - 586
Contador - 2,334
Cavendish - 1,087
Tony Martin - 260
Stybar - 836
Dan Martin - 1420
Sep Vanmarcke - 1323
Davide Formolo - 505
Gaviria - 812.5
Total 9,163.5
I'm not sure those points entirely correspond with my recollection of wins e.g. I can't remember Gaviria doing much.0 -

I'm ******* precious about it because My Men are almost exclusively Qhubeka riders (exceptions are Stannard, neo pro Alex Peters and non WT Tao), and are about to get relegated*.
*I'm not actually precious about it at all.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -
