Battery Operated Fan For Garage Training?

I use my turbo trainer in my garage, which unfortunately doesn't have mains power.
I seem to struggle massively with heat - even today when it wasn't too hot outside, i was still struggling.
I currently use a couple of USB fans but they hardly move any air.
Can someone recommend me a battery powered fan that gives a decent amount of air movement?
I did consider one of the Hitachi drill battery style fans, but they are £90-100 and the battery isn't included.

Extension reel into the garage no good ?0

Nocando - the garage is at the back of our flats, too far to run a cable.
I did consider moving home as an option though!0 -
Moving sounds easier then.
Or hook up some Heath Robinson device that powers a fan off your turbo. I bet you'd have to work hard to er.. keep cool....0 -
Simplest answer is an inverter connected to a 12v battery - powering a normal desk fan - they're not power hungry - the one in my office is 31w - so would draw 2.5Ah. A small battery would be fine.
Obviously you then need to take the battery back to the flat to charge it - unless you could put a small solar panel somewhere ...0 -
That could work. Surely though - I can't be the first person to want to buy a decent battery powered fan?
This was the Hitachi fan: http://www.hitachi-koki.com/powertools/ ... 8dsal.html
But requires a battery that costs about £50 as well...0 -
A normal desk fan isn't that good for a turbo.
I have a pedestal version - so its bigger than the desk fan and one of those industrial fans on the floor. Its still hot work.0
