Hi All.
Looking at getting at HT with around a 140mm travel forks for general riding/trail centre stuff.
Looked at Bird Zero and Orange Crush just wondering what else people would recommend, the 140mm fork is just a guide a bit more or less no problem.

Just looked on their web site  yes see what you mean about the big pile of cash, out of my league0 -
I'm in the same position, looking for a hardtail. Looked at the Orange Clockwork 120 2017, Radon ZR Race 8.0, Mondraker Vantage R 2016 & Bird TR. I want a 2x drive train as I tried a 1x and didn't like it. Budget is absolute maximum of £1500 all in. Love the look of the Mondraker and the riding position is supposedly quite good. The Radon is a good spec too...0

Sonder Transmitter is a cracking bike if you're willing to go 'chubby' (650b plus) ... £1599 gets you the Pike / GX1 / Reverb dropper version. Its 'only' 120mm travel (although I wonder whether you can increase this?), but the chubby tryes will give you an extra 10mm over a standard wheeled bike. Nice & slack, very grippy, really really good (but a bit floaty in mud, and the WTB tyres that came with the one I borrowed both got slashed sidewalls within a couple of weeks of each other; the Nobby Nics seems much more robust)0

Have you considered any of On-One's bikes?
They seem to fall within your budget and intended use.

My money would be going on a Whyte 905 or Genesis Tarn/High Latitude. The Whyte is a cracking bike to ride, rode one earlier in the year and it reminded me how fun a hardtail can be. The two Genesis bikes are also worth a look. I keep looking at the High Latitudes we have here in work but thankfully I can't afford one atm!0
