Tubeless method for Scott Scale 960?

I've been running tubeless on my Trek fuel EX9 for years without a single flat or any sort of problem - so without a doubt I'm a fan of tubeless!

I've just bought a 2016 Scott Scale and want to convert it to a tubeless setup. However, unlike the Trek - this bike does not come with tubeless ready Wheels or tyres. The Scott rims are Syncros GX03V / 32H, with Maxxis IKON / 2.2 60TPI tyres.

Do you think 'ghetto' tubeless is worth a shot? and if so - what sized tubes should I buy for the 29er rims, 20"?

Cheers guys
Neil

I'd just get Stans stuff, rim tape, valves and gunk. It works.

I'm a little confused about what size rim strip I need? they come in different widths.... and i'm not sure which one I need for these rims, or how to measure them?

    any ideas?
