Anyone used a Thule 591 to carry a 2016 TCR advanced?

I'm thinking of getting a TCR on clearance sale but just had a doubt about fitting it on my roof rack. The bottom bracket is supposedly 86mm wide while Thule instructions give a max downtube width of 80mm so the question is will the TCR's downtube fit in the thule carrier? Anyone tried this, or alteratively would anyone be so kind as to measure their downtbue width just clear of the chainrings, or least take a look and see if its narrower than the BB shell?

Cheers
Dan

I use a 591 - it would have to be one chunky frame not to fit securely in the jaw (my Synapse goes in easily, as does the chunkier Kona MTB). I'd assume the downtube was significantly narrower that the extremities of the BB shell.

The main issue I have is the externally-routed cables on the 'dale, but it looks like they are internal on the TCR so you're golden.
Cube Reaction GTC Pro 29 for the lumpy stuff
Cannondale Synapse alloy with 'guards for the winter roads
Fuji Altamira 2.7 for the summer roads
Trek 830 Mountain Track frame turned into a gravel bike - for anywhere & everywhere
