Has anyone noticed, but, as of earlier this week, 105 group sets seem to have taken a price hike. 5800 in black with a 52/36 crankset (170mm) and 11/28 cassette is what's required. At the start of the week it was available on Wiggle for £300. Now it's £330, and that's the lowest price I can see.

Has anyone seen it at a lower price, and, if so, where??

Thanks,
D

  • I keep my eye on the price of them and noticed this too, I think that it is that they have reduced the reduction %. On wiggle they are usually at 49% I think, now they are at 41% off RRP (make of the reduction vs RRP what you will) and all the other outlets match each other.

The pound took a hit after brexit. Our Exports are up because of it as seen in the news, and our importing is more costly. It's all more expensive for companies to buy in. You'd be much better off buying a British groupset.

Apparently there are some availability issues too, but that's hearsay so could be rubbish.

Ultegra has also taken a big hike.

Not many months ago it could be had for £380, seems to be £450ish now :-(
