The simplicity has caught my attention, PlanetX Pickenflick with this setup is on my shortlist. Anyone got one and willing to share thoughts?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I did a piece there on 1x10. I liked it. I had it on two bikes. 11-36 and 42t and 44t. Liked it, never held me back.
But circumstances led to me having 2 new bikes (CAADX and SUPERX) both with two rings. I WILL change them eventually (at least the SuperX) but it's not as easy with Shimano getting a 11-36 setup with road shifters and a road mechMy blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

The big thing is to make sure it gives you the range of gearing you need. People in mountain biking have a habit of going 1x11 or 1x10 and then realizing they either lose top end speed or can't get up steep hills. For some it works very well.0

Yeah, obviously fairly easy but still a slight faff. It would be nice for Shimano to just do wifli. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

That is very true, or at the very least use the same pull ratio on their MTB 11 speed RD so you can use them.0

Yep. I was running a SRAM MTB mech no issue with SRAM Apex. The market is huge, don't understand why they don't do it!My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)
