Does anyone have experience of Kuota road bikes, it isn't a name that you hear of too often.

    Yes I have one.

    A 2009 Kuota Kharma.

Its a relaxed geometry bike - and now I have the position correct its been very comfortable. Where is scores most heavily is in its looks - its a real beauty !!!! -

Ive had cause to regret opted for an aero seat post model - as I have had real issues finding a rear light that fits.

I think the current equivalent of mine is the the hydra - which looks a fab bike for £1500.

It supposed to be heavy compared to other bikes in its class - but that's not really an issue for me. Other than that no real downside - I have had mine for 6 years and it still looks good.
  • I have the Cannondale Synapse which is highly regarded and known for comfort, just thinking about my options for next year. Every night on my way home from work I see a Kuota Kiral Green in the window of a local bike shop, I agree stunning to look at.

The two Kuotas I have seen out on club runs are well regarded by the owners but have absolutely minimal tyre clearance, as in you could hardly get a fag paper in between the tyres and brake bridge/rear stays, even with 23mm tyres.

Which model, I have a kharma evo that fits 25s and a Korsa Carbon that takes 28s comfortably

Seriously? Kuota are a well known Italian manufacturer knocking out excellent bikes.
I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.
  • I bought my Cannondale last year, before that I wouldn't know one brand from another.

I read the mags and browse the web etc. and the name was not familiar to me.

In contrast BMC, Trek, Giant, Specialised are very well known brands. I company that does not invest much in advertising says something about their products, i.e they don't need to
