Road disc -Sram calipers and Shimano rotors?

...quickie question, please, as lots of confusing stuff out there in inernetworld....
..my bike has Sram Force hydraulic disc brakes.
The new wheels I've aquired are center-lock and i'd prefer to fit them with centre-lock rotors.
Sram's c/l rotors seem limited to their Centerline X which aren't widely availabe and £45 a pop whereas Shimano do loads for much less eg RT81 currently at £24 each...
...so, is there any problem with fitting Shimano rotors to aforesaid Sram callipers still with the stock pads fitted?
many thanks for any input.

It'll be fine.
Rotors are rotors are rotors on the most part. The contact area is steel, there's different patterns which might give one rotor slightly better/different performance characteristics from another, but in practice there's very little difference. You won't get optimum performance if you are swapping between different rotor designs on the same pads, but that isn't what you're doing so won't be an issue (and even if you were, it's just a question of bedding them in...)
Some rotors are specced for 'Organic' pads only - this is presumably as they are made of softer steel and so would wear quickly if used with sintered pads.
But yeah, it'll be fine.0 -
..cheers Tim...
...specifically wih the RT81, it looks like the raised spider arm would come very close to the caliper body - anyone have an issue with this?

I don't see the problemleft the forum March 20230

....on the reverse, where the raised spider arms are pinned to the steel sections, strikes me that the elbow ends would be very close to the actual braking track? I'm sure the clever Shimano guys make sure it doesn't foul their calipers but wondered (no doubt unneccesarily!) about other makes.....0

I've used those rotors and the Freeza one with TRP brakes and there is no problem at allleft the forum March 20230
