Doh! How to stop sensors working!!!

My Domane doesn't get ridden often enough that the DouTrap sensor should have stopped working recently.
A bit bemused that neither the Bont 300 comp or the IpBike app would pick up speed or cadence, I then assumed the sensor unit, and decided to check the battery first.
I haven't done a great deal of milage that the battery should be flat (although I don't know how long they should last), but sure enough it was.
Then it dawned on me...
I always leave the cranks flat(ish) with the RHS one forward showing the 105 logo. This means the LHS one is back... near the chain stay... right where the sensor is! So any slight movement would wake up the sensor, and I think that's why the battery's flat.
Not leaving the bike in a 'photogenic' position any more! Doh!

Not sure what the community consensus is - but my idea of photogenic is drive side crank either vertical (pedal down) or slightly offset so that it is in line with the seat tube0

Whenever I take pictures I usually have the right crank facing forward as an extension of the chainstay. This meant that the LHS crank was back, in line with the chainstay and hance always over the DuoTrap sensor - any slight movement would wake it up.
It's stupid, I know. But because sales pictures are like it, and because of rule 5 here: viewtopic.php?f=40044&t=12618247&hilit=photogenic , I have a habit of leaving the bike that way... NOT any more, I don't!0 -
I am not sure if yours is ANT only. I have found that dual BLE/ANT sensors do not like being near mobile phones with Bluetooth even if not paired. When I have been in a travel lodge and had the bike in with me a couple of times I found in the morning that the sensors were flat. If I turned off Bluetooth on the phone they seemed to be alright0

That's worth knowing.
Yes, the DuoTrap s is ANT+ and Bluetooth. I don't have Bluetooth switched on on my phone all the time, but it certainly something else to watch out for.
