Superstar Pave 28 wheels & Cruds???

Love my Pave 28s and love myCruds (as much as you can love something you've had to resort to after failing to buy a sensible frame that can take proper guards) but do they work together?
I've just tried to put the Cruds back on ahead of a possible soaking tomorrow but can't get the front (not tried the back) to stop rubbing. I've not persevered hugely as I'm wondering whether they'd ever work with wider wheels. Has anyone had any luck?
Maybe it's very bike specific as well? I've a 2009 Boardman Team Carbon but it's always been fine after those couple of weeks of "finessing" the cruds. Not going to spend the time if if won't work though.
I can feel that new titanium frame getting that little bit closer.......

Nope, I have problems with anything over a 23 with cruds. Tried on 3 bikes over the years (not a Boardman TC) and found clearances to be very tight on all of them.Rose Xeon CDX 3100, Ultegra Di2 disc (nice weather)
Ribble Gran Fondo, Campagnolo Centaur (winter bike)
Van Raam 'O' Pair
Land Rover (really nasty weather )0 -
I've still got 23c tyres on, it's the wider rims that seem to be the problem. I'm going to assume it won't ever work (don't tell me otherwise) and go for the Kinesis GF V3 frame. That's got to be the sensible decision.0

Yes, I got the promo e-mail when they were released but I'm trying to forget it. Too expensive at £40, it's only £1,510 more for a Kinesis Gran Fondo so surely that's where the smart money will go.0 -
