another day, again the expanse of timanfaya beckons, from far away in time, calling me back, to pursue my quest for knowledge of the tabby

references to the tabby can be found throughout recorded human history, there are indications from folklore and ritual that it's presence has been known far earlier, even to the time humans first learned to use fire

the tabby's association with the minoans, until with the thera eruption; it's guise of bastet, egyptian warrior goddess of the sun; and, of course, pompeii, is clear from surviving references; but our own correspondent has also reports of more recent sightings, at tunguska river, eastern siberia, in 1908

more curious is the link with kic 8462852, tabby's star, described by some as 'the most mysterious star in the galaxy'... https://astronomynow.com/2016/08/08/kep ... y-dimming/ ...and the remarkable alignment of supernovae to be found along an axis projected from earth beyond it

analysis of a rare whisker believed to be from the tabby does indeed show isotope abundances consistent with certain supernova nucleosynthesis; examination of the aligned supernova remnants using the hubble space telescope imaging spectrograph was claimed to have shown a direct match, however all records of this were destroyed in a series of unexplained conflagrations affecting multiple datacentres and research establishments

the ancient cult of the tabby, the origins of which stretch back at least to the civilisations of the mesopotamian plains, believe the tabby to be a visitor from before time, searching this universe for a worthy home in which to nap, worlds found wanting are ultimately consumed in fire

Can I have a bit of whatever you've been smoking?

    Busy day ahead again...

    Morning folks,
Had to drive in again as taking the female child to physio later, might try to cycle in later to avoid the 5.30 traffic going home. Not much going on today with any luck, pub later.

  • I need a holiday to get over my holiday.

Builders "should" be turing up at 10 to start making a hole in the side of the house, oh they joy of living a a pile os crap and dust. At least the bikes are several rooms away and safe.

  • another can of K-seal in the vectra for the missus.
Cycled to work to finish writing assignment briefs for the next year.
Test print some AutoCAD electrical diagrams I drew up for side job.
Still trying to avoid getting quotes to have the side of the house re-rendered (too scared in case I then have to have the wall stitched).
Busy day of head in sand burying before I take W&K's to legoland for a couple days.

Walked in today car was making some weird noises last night, upon checking the morning appears clutch on the AC pulley has failed as in I can wriggle the thing so that's not moving till the weekend now. (Car sits in front of the garage so I cant actually open the door.

Not a fan of how humid it is at the moment all the "kids" at work are harping on about Skinny Pumpkin Spiced Latte's with a shot of some crap in them which is usually meant to indicate a decline in summer. But its not so god knows what is going on.

What's wrong with egg white? Radweld is another option.

If you spend too long in the hot sun inhaling mysterious fumes that emanate from a volcano which are then manipulated and directed by the eternal and intergalactic roaming cat, things go a bit Alice in Wonderland.
Maybe the cat is telling you to shut the grasshoppers and the native birds up, oil your squeaky bike and then he may be able to sleep in peace.

It's funny, it doesn't feel like a Thursday. Anyone want to buy a can baler?

    Laters.

Anyone read the ramblings of the old man? Summary if you did please.

Chaotic ride last night. but was good to get out.
Nearly got smashed by a lorry on the way to work today. 3 lanes (one turning left, straight and a right turn) I am going down the middle at speed limit, static lorry decides he wants to cross over from left to right.

Where is Vtech these days? Talking of cars anyone here care what tyres they use? I need a new set, well the service will tell me I do.

Builders in the office today, smells of paint/plaster etc and the language has taken a turn for the BB ( a WTF did you just do your tit was the last quote)

On wards to coffee and finding chocolate oh and booking a quick trip to Paris

Round and black are my recommendations.

I'm stuck with using the miserable RFT things, which are just horrible in any variety. Back in the GOD's I always rather liked Michelin Pilot Sports but they're sodding expensive out here.

  • After yesterday's loveliness out and about in spring sunshine, today was less fabbo but still "noice"....

Back to doing three fifths of SFA though. Bored bored bored..

Tomorrow I have my nine hundredth set of x-rays done to check progress. On one hand, I hope it's all ok. On the other, if it is all good, then why do I still feel so cr@p all the time?

@ Flan. Viking - if you can get them. Apparently made in Poland under license from Continental. Originally made in Norway. The difference is the price tag and they have a harder rubber which is good as Conti's are soft but they have the Conti build quality. Failing that, the taxi driver's choice boot is Kenda (R rating). Not a high speed 100+ tyre but good for wear and grip.

Lack of the usual levels of exercise. Lack of seratonin's. Build up of cholesterol. Post op blues?

If they cost more than the tyres on the bike you're doing it wrong.

I think I do glow, yes.

lack of exercise is one issue. But specifically, it was *supposed* to fix pinched nerves and weakness. INstead, I have more nerve pain in different areas than before.. hmmmmmm

Now I don't buy cheap bike tyres, Pinno will attest to that, however that is a big ask

Busy day with lots of networking and minion hunting now underway. Interviewing starts tomorrow, hopefully the victims, sorry candidates, will be half decent :)

  • Ciao

Stuck at airport in maelstrom of delays that threaten to mess up my onward connection and cause me a world of headache due to too much delay infused local beer. 4 countries in 7 days are now beginning to tire me together with visiting unit being a) noisy and b) full of weakness.

Only totty near me is a tad iffy as well, so will stick to my latest Google find (UFO sightings.com) and the local brew.

    Ciao

this is the market i was considering, if dan brown can get away with some tosh about da vinci's code, let alone l ron hubbard and the thetans, surely there must be massive opportunity to bring the good news about the tabby to these people
