Replacing shifters

Is it possible to replace drop bar shifters without the hassle of replacing the bar tape ?

    If you unscrew the clamps from the new ones and reuse the old ones then yes, but there may be variations in the shape of the shifter meaning the tape ends up not fitting as well

    It will be like for like under warranty. I was worried the tape won't look so good as a factory finish.
