Saddle Bag

Probably the most exciting thread on here in a while...
I'm after a new saddle bag. I seem to go through them at an alarming rate, have tried Specialized and Altura but both seemed to move around too much, rub on the rails and fail one way or another.
Need something hard wearing, possibly fixed and big enough to take:
some tyre leavers, couple of inner tubes, some chain links, a chain tool and multi tool.
Any suggestions?

Have you looked at the Top Peak range or Lezyne. Had both and prefer Top Peak, just because of size and I think it sits better under my seat. But both good.0

If you're that hard on them look at Carradice bags.

Just bought a Topeak Wedge 11 size small, really happy with the locking rail fixer allows removal/mount in a "snap", plenty big enough for my needs, and doesnt look too bad on the bike, all for £13!

I've used the Zefal Z Light Pack in both Small and X-Small and I'd recommend both.0

Would tyre leavers, couple of inner tubes, some chain links, chain tool and multi tool fit in a small Topeak bag?0

The Amazon reviews would suggest yes, i only carry one inner tube, levers, multi tool, spare links etc and its big enough for this.Paracyclist

I appreciate it's not a saddle bag but, if you are only using one bottle for hydration, have you thought about a tool bidon to fit in another bottle cage?
Pick them up cheap anywhere, usually 400ml or 750ml in size.

I use the Lenzyne M-Caddy Quick Release
http://www.lezyne.com/product-orgnzrs-cadyqr-mcaddyqr.php#.V9Alua3krsI
This takes an inner tube (just the one)
Multitool with chain tool
spare Quick Link
tyre levers
thin surgical type gloves
I won't use bags/caddys with velcro fittings anymore after have the velcro screw up some decent bib shorts.“You may think that; I couldn’t possibly comment!”

I reckon so. I fit in a Topeak Hexus tool which has the chain tool and tyre leavers on it and two inner tubes. Sometimes I shove in my phone as well. It's a tight fit, but fine.0 -

This takes an inner tube (just the one)
Multitool with chain tool
spare Quick Link
tyre levers
thin surgical type gloves
I use the same and can squeeze in (very tightly)
2 x tubes
2 x CO2 cannisters
2 x levers
Park tool patch kit
1 x quick link.
1 x multitool in the pouch below
That is very very tight though and I'd normally only run with one spare tube so as not to force the zips etc.Advocate of disc brakes.0 -
When I use it, I have a topeak aero wedge quick clip in the micro size and managed to fit in:
1 x tube
2 x Co2 Cannisters
1 X topeak mini 6 tool
1x Pack of self adhesive tube patches.
1 x Kinder Egg toy pot (holds: chain link, couple ibuprofen, couple high5 zero tabs)
2 x tyre levers
House Keys
Pair of disposable gloves : helps to stop rattling
It's a squeeze, but it fits.0
