I have a 2002 downhill RM9 with a derailer that is jumping gears.
I should probably update with a new derailer, was wondering what a good one is, maybe one that doesn't protrude so far down with the double chain guide sprocket?
The reason being is the top chain guide sprocket lines up straight but the bottom guide sprocket always looks crooked and doesn't fall in line with the top one. I thought a shorter set up may help with this problem?
I think mine is an xr-9

Do you mean a SRAM X9? Never heard of an xr9.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
