Does anyone have much experience of cycle carraige on Trans Pennine trains?
I live practically next door to Chester-le-Street station and there's bike path the 12 miles from Darlington station most of the way to Stockton where I work. So I wonder about getting the train to Darlo and biking into work.
But how much of a faff is it taking my bike on a TPX train? Obviously I would have to be certain I can get my bike on the train each way every day otherwise there's no point.

Their website seems reasonably clear: https://www.tpexpress.co.uk/travel-information/on-board/cycle-policy/Sometimes parts break. Sometimes you crash. Sometimes it’s your fault.0

Yes, I've read that; I was looking to see if anyone has experience of how it works in practice as website blurb doesn't always match reality.0
