Hi all,
Completely new to road cycling- last time I seriously rode a bike was when I was young.
Anyway work opened up cycle to work so i Jumped at the chance.
By the time I got round to it I ended up with a Whyte Dorset 2016 edition and a helmet, shimano spd pedals and shoes cleats for just over £900. I am quite happy with my purchase well I was when I test rode it.

I am still yet to receive my voucher to pick them up! Work approved it a week ago and I am now just waiting for them to pay the scheme for my voucher. Quite impatient really! I am also looking at using my bike eventually to maybe try a Triathlon as I am a decent runner and the bike is going to be used to improve my fitness.

All you need now is some clobber and lights for the winter commute :)
  • I have a few bits and pieces of clothing I can wear already. I will need lights yep and possibly a computer of some description too.
Quite tempted to increase my Polar collection as I have a m400 running watch from them and they have a few nice cycling computers!

If you dont have mudguards then you are unlikely to keep at riding to work especially in the coming months.

This. Plus you don't need a computer, you just need to pedal.

One of the reasons I bought the Whyte- they have mudguards that will fit from Whyte. :D
  • Got really excited this morning- received an email from cyclescheme but it was offering me some membership at a discounted rate and not my voucher :(
    Is the membership worth it?
  • Just chased up with my employer as no email yet from cycle scheme with my voucher- My company state they have paid for the bike on the 1st of the month. So I am at a loss for the voucher?!
Could it be posted out by mistake?
