Pedal advice for cannondale CAAD8 Claris

Hi all,
I've just bought the CAAD8 but I'm not entirely sure which pedals I should go for. Bike will be used for my 20 mile round trip commute in London, so plenty of stop-start. I was hoping to bring them in under 50 quid.
Oh and any recommendations on tyres? I've previously had armadillos which seemed to do the trick
Thanks in advance

Do you use any particular pedal types at the moment?0

Stop start rides then think about spd pedals. Easier to walk in than Road shoes.
Use the tyres you have and see how you go.
If they don't work look at your armadillo or even schwalbe marathon plus for total bomb proof tyres.0 -

I don't have the bike yet, just waiting for the cyclescheme admin to take its course. Previously I just used flat pedals but that was an easier and short ride.

With my last bike, wilier single speed, the tyres it cames with were useless for london. Punctures on a weekly basis0
