What rucksack?

I know, I know - get a rack, panniers etc - and I will when I get me a commuting bike.
For now I just need a small rucksack to transport a Dell ultrabook laptop, change of pants and T Shirt - probably about 15-20l in size. Needs to be waterproof and cheap too. Spent ages looking online - bit of a minefield. Suggestions/links please, thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion. Looks solid, but I guess I'm after something that looks a bit more business-like, if you know what I mean?0

Used to do this. But the rucksack was never all that comfy. So I guess I'm after a comfy to use when cycling business-like rucksack. Waterproof a bonus.gabriel959 wrote:I have this one in Black and orange and it is a great rucksack! http://www.rapha.cc/gb/en/shop/backpack ... BPK03XXCLR
I'm sure it is, but even at half price its too much.0 -

Yep, even £75 is a bit too dear, I was able to get it for £60 and I was absolutely borderline.x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

They have a £45 version in the sale at the mo...0 -
I really like my Deuter Race Exp Air - the mesh back is great for keeping you cool - unless you're wearing a jacket that isn't breathable at the back. Nice and light, expandable compartment, built in rain cover and helmet holding net too.

I would say any kind of Deuter backpack is good. You can choose the the that you like the most and you will get quality for sure: http://www.deuter.com/DE/en/bike.html0

I have a larger Deuter, and I can't recommend it highly enough
It's just a hill. Get over it.0 -

+2; best rucksack I've used,Ridley Helium SL (Dura-Ace/Wheelsmith Aero-dimpled 45 wheels)
Light Blue Robinson(105 +lots of Hope)

Another vote for the Gourdon. You cycle to work. A backpack won't make you look more professional.
It's cheap and waterproof just as you asked.0 -
Another for Deuter (haven't owned an Alpkit, might do if the Deuter ever fails, which it's not close to doing)
From the last dozen backpack threads it always ends up between Alpkit and Deuter. Doesn't sound like you can go wrong with either.0 -
Cheers for the tips guys.
In the end I went for one of these. Seems well made, padded section for laptop, light, reflective strips. Probably a bit too big, but means I can carry shoes if I need to. Will have to wait and see how long it lasts:

Didn't see the Deuter suggestion. If I had I would've gone for one of these:
