Vitus Peugeot thing for your perusal. Its my trundler. Need to get matching tyres and fit Shimano 600 crank that's sitting on the workbench to match the brakes then its done. May get around to sorting the seat, then maybe I won't. Who knows. I like to keep you guys hanging on.
I particularly like the metal Peugeot badges that you can't really make out in the rubbish pictures.

Yup - agree completely re the 'bars: it's only when you see it in a picture that you notice these things. Will be done this arvo
Tyres: front is a tub, rear is a clincher, so need to sourdpce same types that match - thinking Vittoria in 25mm if treads are the same.
Will post some more piccies later if anyone cares.

I was being picky!
It's hard with those bars, especially with the old suicide brake levers/tops, but the nack is try and get the bottom of the drops horizontal with the ground. Your pic shows them *just* above the horizontal, so rolling them forward a few degrees should also put the brake levers in the right place.0 -

Its not picky - its helpful!
Just about to put lunchtime curry on to cook then will rotate slightly downwards and take another piccie - agree completely that if its going to be done then do it properly. Or leave it for months and eventually get around to it.
The levers are just down to me always having my levers a tad high - the tops of the hoods should be level with the tops of the 'bars but they felt just too low to me. Doesn't stop the brakes being appallingly crap though .....Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

Stuff 'n' nonsense that would look better if it wasn't taken with a camera phone but as the good camera is currently doing work stuff this has to suffice for the moment.

I really loved the looks of the Vitus that's for sure, but knowing a guy who had one made me steer clear of them...while my friend was a 240 pound pro bodybuilder so this next part may be unfair to Vitus but he did break 2 of them within the first 6 months of riding each at the bottom bracket. Vitus was good at providing a replacement frame each time but after the second one he never rode the third one he got. Also having been alive and riding bikes back then I had heard of the early ones many years later the bonding agent would let go and had to be rebonded by a specialist, my understanding was the later versions didn't have that issue.0
