661 Helmet - got M and L - can't decide which

I've just bought my first full face helmet - 661 Helmet (£55 ish). I bought both M and L to try out but I'm not sure which to keep!

M - feels nice and snug around head - but a little bit of pressure on cheek bones
L - a little bit of play around the head area - but more relaxed on the cheeks

I'm worried that if I go L by the time I get on the DH trails that "little bit of play" will be magnified, but if I go for the M the tightness on the cheeks might get really annoying.

Is it normal for it to be quite tight on the cheeks? I've never had a full face before so not sure what to expect.

My current thinking is to go for the M. Maybe helmet loosens up after a bit / once on trail you have more to worry about to take mind off a bit of pressure on cheek bones.

Any had a similar experience?

Medium. Shouldn't move easily even unstrapped.

But it might not fit you properly - helmets and heads are different.

Shouldn't be too tight around the check but also shouldn't be loose.
Maybe the 661 isn't the right shape for you. I can't wear them because they're too narrow.
Try a Fox Rampage for a little extra width around the cheeks.
