    Never heard, or even thought about the need of greasing droputs before so I learnt something.

    Normally I'd say if the bike is silent, don't grease the dropouts. Nothing should be moving there. Same for the QR skewers. But when chasing an elusive noise, sometimes a thin smear of grease will silence it.
