    It's always been a sport for bike geeks, but it recently got extreme, with folks spending money on coloured anodised tat and un-necessary clothing. If you focus on the rides and invest on those, you should be able to kick the habit to spend money on pointless tat online.

    Lots of folks spend hundreds in useless kit and then camp in the mud at the Fred Whitton to save money... I spend very little in tat, but stay in a 4 star hotel and spend a lot of money in meals... horses for courses, IMO memories are worth more than a flat full of stuff
