Hi thinking about getting these for my newish Tarmac as I need a higher spoke count and thought brass nipples were meant to be better than alu? These seem to fit the bill as I wanted a 23mm wide rim and may run these tubeless.

How will these compare to say an Architype rim on 105/Ultegra hubs?

Alloy nipples on break if the the spokes are too short. In general they are reliable. Also a spoke prep helps alot aboid galvanic corrosion. The reason i say this is pick the humt wheels for other reasons rather than reason that dont matter.i dont himk the hunt wheels can be desibred as higher spoke count.

Archetype on ultegra hubs are 32 spoke count would be a bit heavier (100g or so) not even close to aero, robust and reliable if built properly. The thing is maybe the hunt wheels will be just as relaible there is no reason why they cant be.

Tarmac? Does that come with the fabled Spesh gear hanger (SCS). If so you'll need to source a non SCS hanger to get any replacement wheels to fit.

Good point bender. Many have come unstuck because of this silly hanger. However I thought it applied to the disc brake bikes only.
