Deore hubs on road bike
edited August 2016
I'm going to build my first pair of wheels soon. I have chosen deore hubs as they are very cheap. I was also amazed as how close they weighed compared to 105 and ultegra. Will I have any problems with these hubs on a road bike.
No, they'll be fine. I'm pretty sure that some hybrids use them.

Does your road bike frame have 130mm or 135mm dropout spacing? Most non-disc road frames are 130. Road hubs like 105 and Ultegra are for 130. MTB hubs like Deore are for 135.
^yep, the rear spacing is the main thing you have to have right.
I'm left handed, if that matters.
